The other day as I sat in the offices of the Urban Times (the web magazine where I’m interning over the summer), work started to gear down from the usual fast-paced mix of writing, emailing, editing and tweeting, and degenerated into a session of Googling the names of all of all the Urban Times team to see what came up.
I’m happy to say that this blog is the top result for me, followed by my Twitter account and Urban Times author profile.
A little further down the list is a summary I wrote for the British Council about what I’d learned in my year as a language assistant in Paris, which is not in the least interesting but you can still download if you really want to.
And nestled at the bottom of the first page was something I’d totally forgotten about: an interview I gave to The Hindu newspaper when I was in Bangalore last year, working on an interactive installation with art collective Jaaga.
The picture of me (to the right here) was run under the brilliant caption: “Ace of sound: the writer, activist, composer Corin Faife.”
If I get a set of business cards printed, I think I’ve already found the tag line.
